    Can't Sign in to Minecraft Launcher / Xbox / Microsoft Store – Error 0x800704cf


    I'm having trouble signing in to my Minecraft Launcher, Xbox app, and Microsoft Store. Every time I try to log in with my main Microsoft account, I get the error code 0x800704cf, even though I'm 100% sure my internet connection is working fine.

    I've already tried several solutions I found in YouTube videos and online forums (like resetting the Microsoft Store, flushing DNS, checking proxy settings, etc.), but nothing has worked so far.
    Interestingly, I can sign in using a different Microsoft account, but the error only shows up with my main account, which is the one I need access to.

    Is there any way to fix this? I'd really appreciate any help.

    I have the similar problem with the Minecraft launcher. I'm not signed into Minecraft so I cant remove an account. But on Xbox game bar I'm signed in and get the same error code, I tried clicking "use a different account" and signing in but I get error code 0x800704cf which means I'm not connected to the Internet but I am connected to the internet. If you can help that would be amazing.

    so signing in with my Microsoft account gives me error (all the apps i try to log in either Minecraft or Microsoft store etc)

    Would you please share the error message/code?

    But now are you able to sign in to the Microsoft store? Or you are trying to download the launcher from the Minecraft website?

    Please try the potential solution I’m going to share below:

    Step 1. Sign out from the account that owns the game on the Minecraft launcher, the Microsoft store, and the Xbox app.

    Step 2. Reset and repair the Microsoft Store and the Minecraft launcher:

    -For the Microsoft store, press the Windows key + R > in the dialog box type wsreset.exe
    Wait until the Microsoft store is open.

    -For the Minecraft launcher, press the Windows key + I > Apps > Installed Apps > click the app and click advanced options (on Windows 11, click on more) > click reset and repair.

    Step 3. Sign in with the account that owns Minecraft on the Microsoft Store, the Xbox app, finally, on the Minecraft launcher.
    Try playing Minecraft bedrock edition.
