    Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're having issues connecting to Xbox live after the latest system updates. Are you on Xbox beta preview update or an official update?

    To ensure that there are no known issues in your area, please check the Xbox live status here:

    https://support.xbox.com/xbox-live-status

    If everything is up and running, let's confirm if the issue is not coming from your internet service provider. Please try to use a different internet connection such as a mobile hotspot using your carrier data just to test if you will be able to connect to Xbox live.

    If you're still having issues, please make sure all power cables are firmly seated in your modem, gateway, or router when using Ethernet cable. For Wi-Fi please ensure that you have a good signal. You can also test your connection by going to Profile & system > Settings > General > Network settings > Test network connection.

    Have they called the xbox team or spoken with their live chat?
    they can't sign in to use x-box live it just comes up with those numbers.
