Can't sign in on Xbox One

I recently change my email that I use for my Microsoft account, however my Xbox One is asking for the password for my account, but with my old email address that I no longer use. I put in the correct password, but it says that it isn't the correct password
for my account. Is there a way that I can change it so that it wants the password for the new email address? Because I won't be able to use my Xbox One until then. Thanks in advance.

Are you able to sign into account.microsoft.com by chance? If so, are you able to check to see if you have 2-step verification enabled? If so, you may need to create an app specific password to sign in on your Xbox One.

Can't sign in on Xbox one

For some reason my xbox one won't recognize my sign in. I know I am entering the right password (double checked by signing into my microsoft account on my laptop) and even when I tried the "forgot my password" option it keeps thinking I entered the wrong
captcha code. Problem started after recent update. Any help would be appreciated.

Have you tried removing the email address and then put in the new one before typing the password? If so, try deleting your account from the console then re-add it.

Hi AmandaRothschild, I hope you're doing great out there. I am an Independent advisor and I am here to help you in regard to your concern.

Kindly sign in to https://account.xbox.com/profile and check if you can sign in from there without any issues. If you can sign in from there please follow the steps below:

POWERCYCLE CONSOLE

1. Turn off your console by holding the Xbox button on the front of the console for approximately 10 seconds. The console will turn off.

2. Turn your console back on by pressing the Xbox button on the console or the Xbox button on your controller.

If that didn't work resetting the console keeping games and apps will be the next option. Don't worry because as long as you're connected to Xbox Live your saved progress, games, will not be deleted. It will remove all of your accounts but you can add all of them later on.

Press the Xbox button to open the guide.

Select Profile & system > Settings > System > Console info.

Select Reset console.

Reset and keep my games & apps.

Sorry to hear the troubles with signing into Xbox Live. To check, are you still having issues with signing into Xbox Live or has the issue cleared up for you?

If you're still not able to sign in, let's make sure to give your Xbox One a full power cycle by holding down the power button for 8-10 seconds until it shuts off completely.

ok - just got signed in - after about an hour ! !

Now I can't get into Xbox Live Gold...it's telling me that the content is not available. Please fix as this is wasting my membership time
