Can't sign in on console

I have been trying to to sign in on my console but I can't. It says that password doesn't work try another. Which makes no sense because I can sign in here and Outlook with no problems. Please help.

Can't sign in - can't change password on console.

Hi - tried multiple times here. I looked and apparently there are no issues with Live currently?

We have 2 accounts, neither will sign in. Passcode is accepted, then Microsoft account password is asked for - but the screen just reloads/resets after entering.

Resetting the password doesn't work either.

The network connection is fine.

I CAN log into my Live account on my tablet with no problem.

Suggestions please? Thanks.

 

If you have two-step verification enabled, you may be getting this error because you need to sign in with an app password. You will need to use the app password instead of the account password. To see whether you have two-step verification enabled, do the
following:

1. Sign in to your Microsoft account.
   
2. Under Security & privacy, select More security settings.
3. Under Two-step verification

If it states Set up two-step verification then it is not set up, but if it reads Turn off two-step verification then you need to get the app password. To do this follow these steps:

1. Sign in to your Microsoft account.
   
2. Under More security settings, scroll down to App passwords.
   
3. Select Create a new app password.
   
   A new app password is generated and appears on your screen.
4. When you’re prompted for your Microsoft account password on your Xbox console, enter the app password you created online.
   

If you don't have two-step verification turned on then try the following:

Sign out of your Gamer Tag Profile:

1) Press the Xbox Guide button in the middle of your Xbox controller and Press the Blue X to Sign Out

Delete Profile:

1) Press the Xbox Guide button in the middle of your Xbox controller

2) Scroll right and go to the Settings tab, and then select System Settings

3) Select Storage

4) Select the device with your profile

5) Select Profiles

6) Select your Gamer Tag

7) Select Delete

8) Select Delete Profile Only

Clear System Cache:

1) Scroll right and go to the Settings tab, and then select System Settings

2) Select Hard Drive

3) Highlight Hard Drive, and press Y (Device Options)

4) Select Clear System Cache and select Yes

5) Repeat steps 2 thru 4 two more times so that your Cache is cleared 3 times

*NOTE* The cache stores such items as game updates, system update installation packages, and gamer pictures of your friends. Clearing the Xbox 360 cache does not remove your Gamertag, content that you have downloaded, game files, or console software
updates.

Turn off your console and start it back up.

Download Profile:

1) Press the Xbox Guide button in the middle of your Xbox 360 controller

2) On the Home tab, select Download Profile

Let us know if this resolves your problem.

 

ditto. this doesn't work either. when I go to re-enable the profile, there's an error saying my password doesn't work. yet it does here.
