"Can't Sign In" Message Box

I was watching Netflix earlier when I got disconnected from Xbox Live. This happens occasionally; all I have to do is wait about ten seconds before trying to reconnect. When I tried to sign back into Xbox Live, I got a message box with the heading "Can't
Sign In". The text just said that there were issues signing in and to visit the Xbox Support Website (and no error code). I tried to reconnect again, and it didn't work, so I restarted my console. Before I could even sign in, the same message box popped up.
It took about two minutes to get on, and when I relaunched Netflix, it sat at the same screen like it was frozen. However, the Xbox Guide came up. Eventually, after about 3 minutes, it loaded. After about twenty minutes, I got disconnected again, and the same
message box popped up. Like before, I restarted my Xbox and tried to sign in but to another profile. After a minute of loading, the box popped up. I clicked OK, but instead of signing in, my profile continued to load. The message box came up again. I clicked
OK again, and it did the same thing. It was almost like a loop of sign in failures. It's been a few hours since all of this happened. My console is still acting up. I understand that people are having problems staying connected to Xbox Live, but I haven't
heard of anyone complain of this yet. I don't know if it's connected to the situation, though.

I have sold on my xbox360 new user has this message 445E-000-0080-0300 when connecting xlive

they can't sign in to use x-box live it just comes up with those numbers.

It sounds like this is probably connected to the ongoing Xbox Live service interruption!

Sometimes you'll be able to sign in for short periods, sometimes it will fail right away and tell you to visit the support site, and sometimes it will just keep trying and trying. I've seen reports of all of those things, and each person said it started
tonight, so it's very likely they're due to the ongoing problems.

The best thing to do is to stay updated by the
Xbox Live Status page (they try to update it around every 30 minutes) and then try again once they say the connection issues have been resolved.
