    Can't sign in, errors (0x404 and 0x406)


    My school computer has just been upgraded to Windows 10 enterprise, first off this shouldn't be a workgroup policy restriction as my friend is able to use the xbox app on his computer (same computer, same classes).

    When I run the Xbox app it just gives me a "Sign In" button that upon clicking just seems to refresh and give me a "Need Help?" link and 0x406 error code. The link just takes me to my Microsoft account page. Pressing the refresh button on the top left on
    the title bar refreshes the app and returns the error "0x404".

    I have tried the powershell method to remove both the store and xbox app then reinstall, I have reset the cache on both, I have logged completely out of my Microsoft account and a couple other methods such as making a new local account and trying to get
    the app to work there (my account is an admin on the computer).

    I just want to access the damn app and this is frustrating, it also works on my personal laptop and I can't see any differences between the two.

    My PC won't allow me to reinstall Xbox Identity Provider, what do I do to fix this issue? I've tried looking for a download from a different location to try and install it through different means but I couldn't find one.

    I FOUND THE FIX AFTER DAYS OF TRYING TO FIGURE THIS OUT.

    For anyone else having the same issue - the "Xbox Identity Provider" was missing for me.
