“Can’t sign in” error when trying to sign in….why?

Are you playing on an Xbox 360 or via backward compatible games on an Xbox One or Xbox Series console?

In the meantime, make sure your account security information is updated:

Make sure your security information is correct and up to date (image), I also recommend turning on the 2-step verification, in case you are not using it.

Why? Do you receive an error message when trying to sign in?

Followed your steps and am still getting the same error. When my account is signed out she can’t access gamepass games. It asks for my account to sign in. When it’s signed in it gives us the option to either log me out of my other game in session, or to sign me out and continue to play. When we choose the sign out option and continue to play, we get the error that the owner needs to be signed in to use game pass. Which puts us back to square one.

Same, it takes me to a white screen that’s apparently already loaded when I try to sign into MC PE. I can’t sign in or play with my friends.

Please read my post again, I specifically mention that I have tried to click on sign in with Microsoft and that’s when I get the error.

I migrated to the Microsoft account and it won’t let me sign in now. I can’t even try it just gives me an error.

I just want to play Minecraft a game I’ve been playing since 2011.
