Can't sign in. Error code doesn't exist.

My Xbox is now basically a plastic lump. Every time I try to sign in I get the message:

There was a problem

We could not sign you in. Try again in a few minutes, or check your account by signing into account.live.com. Sign in: 0x800488FC

That error code does not exist. Xbox live is saying the service is working ok. This has been going on for hours now.

Hey Microsoft. How about sorting it out rather than just sitting around? I'm not the only person complaining of this and as far as I can see you haven't responded to anyone.

I cants sign into my accounts

I can't sign into my accounts on xbox. It gives me an error code that doesn't exist ''0x90070490''

Error Code 0x803f9006

so apparently this error code doesn't exist... can't access digital content, keeps showing various error screens telling me to sign in with the account that owns/purchased the content, any guesses?

that may be a temporary problem, I guess you'll just have to wait.

Apparently the answer is to completely unplug the Xbox and then plug it in again.

In the 21st Century, this is a fix for a complex machine

Still doesn't explain why it displays a non existent error code though, other than general MS slapdash incompetence and indifference to their customers

Totally agree with you. They should work on this or maybe is a hardware problem that cant be fixed, but what is true is we deserve a better answer as customers. What i learn from this is that normally when you turn off the console doesnt go really off, remains
in a stand by mode like Hibernation on PC, and being like this for long and repeated times could develop memory errors and should affect the log in on the accounts, this happened to me also with my PC when i try to log in in my Profile after left the PC Hibernating
for long time, could be various weeks, could be months, so after i hard reset it, the issue is fixed. Doesnt looks like a very professional way to solve the problem but at least works, as i said maybe is a hardware thing and could be fix in next revisions.

You can't search the code error because the code 80190376 doesn't even exist on there system it's a whole new error there dealing with and until they work out what the why and how we are pretty much in no mans land.

I am having the same problem with Microsoft Solitaire Collection not being able to sign in and get the error code 0x87DD000E, which doesn't seem to exist in Support Search for error codes. I can get other games, but not Solitaire.
