"Can't Sign In" Error 0x409

I don't use this app (never opened it once), but I just bought Minecraft for Win10 and found this error. I've tried every solution I could find on the web: MSConfig, Command Consol, restarting PC, etc.

Please assist me on how to log in. Thanks.

Can't sign into the Xbox app on Windows 10, keep getting error 0x409 0x80080300.

To resolve Error (0x409), please follow the instructions below:

1. Press the ‘Windows + R’ key on the keyboard.

2. In the ‘Run’ window type ’MSCONFIG’ and click ‘Ok’.

3. On the ‘General’ tab, click the ‘Normal Startup’ option, and then click ‘OK’.

4. When you are prompted to restart the computer, click ‘Restart’.

After selecting Normal Startup and pressing OK, no prompt to restart appears. Are there any other ways to resolve this issue?

I did a manual restart, but that was separate from the MSCONFIG setup.

I'll try doing MSCONFIG followed by a restart and post results here afterward.

 

We certainly want to get this taken care of, please follow the instructions on how to reinstall Xbox App:



1. Type powershell into the Start menu or Taskbar search box, right click it and choose "Run as administrator".



2. Type or copy-paste the following command:



*Get-AppxPackage Microsoft.XboxApp | Remove-AppxPackage



3. Wait till the process is done and then type "exit" to close PowerShell.



4. Reinstall Xbox App.
