Can't sign in due to update

    Can't sign in due to update


    For some reason my xbox wont let me sign into my profile even though i'm connected to xbox live it keeps saying

    "we couldn't sign you in. Try again in a few minutes, or check your account by signing in to account.live.com"

    with error code 0x8007042C.

    I had that since this morning, and its afternoon now, can somebody help me please? I'm not sure why these problems are happening in the first place.

    A system update is required to sign in to Xbox LIVE, but the update is currently unavailable.

    But I can't sign in, period due to a missing system update.

    System update not working, leading to no live.

    Can't recover gamertag due to an update needing done, this occured around 2/3 months ago. I can connect to network, but it signs me out my account
    due to not able to finish the update.

    Status code reads : 3151-335A-1380-2203-C000-0001

    And yes, i've looked up on the status code area and followed downloading the update and doing it manually onto usb, it
    doesnt work. It says to plug usb into xbox, that i would get a message appearing asking to restart due to update being found, but just stays on dashboard, still not able to sign into my gamertag account, never mind go near live yet with it and i've refused
    to buy yet again another xbox (this would be the 3rd), so would care for some help and guidance.

    I unplugged everything and it let me sign in but it doesnt let me play any games still

    Maybe this isn't due to the September update. Turned on console this morning, it wants to do a 259mb update, however due to my issue, the system can't restart after and its stuck in a loop.
