can't sign in, can't re-add account after removing it

We originally got to this because of a problem with Rocket League. Attempting to trouble-shoot that we hard-rebooted the Xbox.

After the hard reboot we were unable to sign in to Xbox Live. We followed the instructions here: Repeated Password Prompts on Xbox One

Solution 1 didn't work so we attempted Solution 2. On Step 3, "re-add your account", we're now stuck. The console claims that the account is already there, but there is no gamertag for it. So we can't re-add the account and also can't remove it again.

We could now move on to Solution 3, but I'm hesitant to do so since presumably this will require re-installing all games again. Is there anything Microsoft can do here? Any other things we can try to unwedge the console without factory resetting it?

Changed my password and now i cant sign into my xone

Try removing your account from the console and re-add it again. Though make sure that you can sign in on the right account online before removing it from the console.

To remove the account. Just go to Settings > All Settings > Accounts > Remove Account. Then choose which account to remove. Then to re-add it again, just go to Sign In > Add & Manage > Add New. Then retype the same email and password for your account.

Need to Re-add parent to child account

Hi, i need to re-add myself as a parent on my childs account after stupidly removing it.

i've tried to do it on the 360 but after adding all my info an error comes up saying that xbox live sign in isnt available.

Sorry to hear you're having trouble. Please go ahead and try step 3. There's an option to keep installed games and apps so you won't need to redownload them when you're done.

Also, in case you weren't aware you can add up to 3 USB 3.0 external hard drives ranging in size from 256GB - 16TB for extra storage space.

My acc () no longer has a family account because my daughters account was removed from it (not by us) and the security settings were reset and locked (not by us).

Now we can't do anything with it because we now can't re add it to a family.

Sorry for the issue with signing in. You can try a couple of things and see if it helps. Make sure the

windows and everything is up to date. Corrupted data may cause your game to not work properly. here are two steps on how to isolate the system issue:
