Can't sign in and strict NAT after update

Hi last Thursday I started having problems with my Xbox one, since it was fine the day before the update and the problems started the day after so I'm assuming it's because of the update. So a few issues, 1. I can't connect to internet 2. I can't sign
in on any gamer tag (which you never needed internet to do) and 3. my NAT type is now strict when it was open. I am a college student living in a dorm so I have a wired connection but I've never had any problems with it before the update. Would appreciate
any ideas, I have tried to soft and hard reset it but nothing works. Thanks!

I still can't play GTA 5 Online......help?!?!

It turned out that 'strict NAT' was my problem. After resetting my router it opened it back up and have had no problems connecting again.

I can't even think how long my NAT was strict for... weeks maybe. It wasn't until I was playing some CoD with a friend I noticed it was strict.

Hey mate,

Have you tried resetting your router? Give that a shot and see how it goes.

Also worth power cycling your console just in case. To do this, have the xbox on, then hold the power button down until the console switches off. Leave it for a minute, then turn it back on and see how it goes.

Hi I am trying to solve the issue before reinstalling everything.

The problem I think is the type of network. check that the NAT network is normal, open.

because after an update may changed the security network.

NAT must be open and appears Strict or moderate NAT.

NAT appears Strict, this is my case, I'm in it to see if the issue is solved.

So I assume you can connect direct to the modem and its fine? If so its not your ISP or the Xbox or the update it can only be the router.

When you look at the Linksys router what does it say its WAN/Internet IP Address is? If it starts with 10 or 192 or 172 please post it up, if it starts with anything else just post the first part i.e. 62.
