Can't sign in after email change

So recently I changed my primary email from one i created as a child (yes the name was obviously stupid) to something that I will use permanently.
After the change I was not able to sign into any Xbox or Microsoft apps saying

When I click on Get a new one or Create one I get this message

I am stuck in a loop of not being able to sign in to any Microsoft apps.
Is there a way to fix this?

Finally press save and try again

Go here:

https://account.live.com/names/Manage

Then click on change sign in preference and see if you're able to uncheck your old email.

Adding my old email back as an alias fixed my issue but now, I'm just back at using my old childish email.
Am I stuck with this now?

My account isnt lost though because I have no problem signing into microsoft websites. I only encounter this issue trying to use apps such as the Microsoft store and Xbox app. Doing account recovery only asked for a password change and still the problem persists.
