    Posting this as it may help someone in the future. 2018 and I still had this issue show up. Proxy was not turned on, fairly fresh install of Windows 10 Pro N (about 2 month old install), all updates installed and on the latest build, Date & Time settings
    were correct.

    I had Windows Defender disabled via a registry key. I removed this key, restarted the PC and re-enabled Windows Defender. Boom. No issues. Apparently you MUST use Windows Defender when you want to use the Xbox app. Kinda stupid, but kinda smart, I guess.
    I had it disabled because it's very taxiing, not matter what kind of system you have. Mine is an i7, 16GB of memory, GTX 980, SSD and Hybrid HDD, etc. No matter what though, still slows down the system.

    Just figured I'd post this in case someone else has this issue, or if I have the issue again and forget xD

    put region on usa then use hotspotshield(only hotspotshield worked for me cus its not using proxy then use the app an boom gg ez)

    I'm having a similar issue. I just upgraded to a custom made gaming computer. It has Windows 10 on it. Now, my trusty Xbox 360 won't work. It signs me in, and then I get an error message of 0xbba and a message saying that it can't sign me in, try later.

    I've tried looking up the error code and there's nothing on.

    I'm going to assume this is all do to the crappy windows10.
