Can't Sign Back in Due to Closed Microsoft Account

I figured out that my first Microsoft account got closed a while ago, but I was able to play online, on the minecraft server with friends just fine. But just recently, I had an issue with joining friends on realms, so I tried to go to my Microsoft account (which was closed due to inactivity I guess), so I unlinked my account (biggest mistake). I tried to sign back in with a new account that was closed but I created a new one that was like the first one and it didn't work. A message kept popping up that said something like "Opps! This account is already connected to a Microsoft account...sign back in". I tried basically everything to fix this, but it was to no avail. But I was taking into consideration of deleting the saved data (the two files), but would that disconnect that, now closed account, so that I can create a new one? Or would changing my PSN ID do anything too?

P.S. I didn't see a category for Playstation 4 so I put it under the Xbox category.

    :)

Deleted Microsoft account but gamertag is still viewable

I never signed back into my Microsoft account during those 65 days and attempting to do so yields a "this email is not recognised" message.

I either "deleted" or "closed" it, I can't remember the exact wording of it. Main point is I had a Microsoft account with an Xbox account attached to it and closed the Microsoft account in an attempt to delete the Xbox account. I also wasn't using either
account, so I intended getting rid of them both by deleting the Microsoft one.

move gamertag to different Microsoft account?!?!

it is still possible to do, but would be a pain.

you would have to sign into the account with the email that you "want" to use for your account at
https://login.live.com and then close it out, by clicking on security and password (you might get prompted to verify and email or phone number) then scrolling to the bottome and clicking close account, follow
those prompts. due to the email that you want to use is an outlook, which is Microsoft controlled, you will then need to close all that out and sign into your email. it takes 60 days to completely close the Microsoft account attached to that email. once it
has closed, you can then try to use it to do the swap.

NOTE: If you have purchased anything under the gamertag that is associated with the outlook Microsoft account, you will loose it. there is no way to merge accounts to keep that stuff.

I will be closing my Microsoft email account.

    Hi TW1NKY1,

Thank you for posting in Microsoft Xbox Community. I'm sorry to hear that you're closing your Microsoft account. Closing a Microsoft account means you won't be able to use it to sign in to any Microsoft products or services, including Outlook.com or Hotmail, OneDrive, Xbox, Skype, Office or Microsoft 365, Rewards and Microsoft Certification. You will also lose access to any saved BitLocker recovery keys.

When you close a Microsoft account, for whatever reason, Microsoft wants to make sure of two things:

    1. That it's really you, not someone else trying to close your account.

    2. That you're not leaving anything important behind that you're going to need later.

If you're sure, follow these steps to close your account:

Sign in to start closing your Microsoft personal account.

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2272280

    Notes:

To close an account, you'll need to be able to sign in. If you can't sign into your Microsoft account, use the Sign-in helper from this link:

    https://go.microsoft.com/fwlink/?linkid=2288422

If you forgot your account info and had to reset your security info, you must wait 60 days before closing your account.

If you're prompted to sign in and/or verify your account, follow the instructions.

Check that the page shows the correct Microsoft account, and then click Next.

Read the list and click the checkboxes to acknowledge you've read each item.

Choose to have the re-open window set to 30 or 60 days.

In the Select a reason drop-down list, choose an explanation for why you're closing the account.

    Click Mark account for closure.

    Regards,

    Alvaro

How I get my account back that was deleted

Hi there! My name is Darhyl and I’d be more than happy to help you with your query.

I'm sorry you are experiencing this with your Microsoft account.

To answer your inquiry, once the Microsoft account is deleted/closed permanently I'm afraid it is no longer possible to recover the account.

According to the official Microsoft website: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us...s-closed-5ce9281c-99eb-423b-9b5c-2b69a7701dc2

"You might not be able to sign into your account because it's closed or deleted.

You closed your account: If you closed your Microsoft account, you have 60 days from that closure to sign in and reopen it. After that 60 days, your account and data expire.

Your account was closed because of inactivity: If you haven't signed in to your account for a long time, it might expire due to inactivity, (more than 2 years of inactivity.)"

Thank you for your kindness and understanding! Please feel free to let me know if you need anything else.

    Best Regards,
    Darhyl
