    I followed the instructions on how to share gold but when it still shows the option "share gold on this Xbox" and when I check with the other account on my console, it says they don't have gold. any suggestions? advice?

    I have main account on son's Xbox One but I now want to send it to where he lives with his mother - How do I set up the Xbox before sending?

    You just have to set your account as xbox home:

    support.xbox.com/.../my-home-xbox

    My home Xbox setting allows you to do the following:

    Share games and downloadable content purchased from the Store with anyone else who signs in on your console. You can even share games downloaded as part of a subscription.

    Share your Xbox Live Gold subscription with anyone else who signs in on your console.

    This way you can share the purchased games and the gold membership with your son's account

    Live Gold extra profile issue

    You have to set up your home console for the account with gold. Once you make the Xbox One your home console , then it will share gold with all on that console.     My home Xbox hasbeen acting weird. It has set itself to different console as soon as I logged in. After update it removed home console, says I'm sharing gold but is incorret
    I logged into on my mobile and it removed my Xbox, and now I cant share good with my kids

    My suggestion is that you make your son's profile the home Xbox. The account that has no gold should be set to home inorder to share the subscription.
    No. The account with gold has to be the one to set the console as their Home in order to share. The account without gold setting the console as his Home would not effect sharing of the gold account.

    If I buy the Home Gold, my kids will be Gold members ONLY on the one xbox. When they go to their moms house they wont be able to play unless ANOTHER Home Gold is purchased.

    To clarify are you sharing your Xbox Live Gold membership via Home Gold, or are you referring to another user sharing their Gold with you? If you're the one sharing Gold, we'd recommend signing into the console you'd like to share your Gold membership on
    and ensuring that it's set as your
    Home console    .

    If someone else was sharing Gold with you, you'll need to reach out to that person to help verify that the console you're playing on is set as the Home console for their account.

    I think I see the problem. The only account that is sharing is your Son's account since he is on your home console. Your account is on your daughter's but it's not your home console so it wont share. Does your family have a main Xbox they use? If so, I think
    they will all have to play on that console for Gold to share.

    For comparison my set up is:

    Xbox 1X (Main):

    My Account- With Gold

    Spouse account - Without Gold (HOME)

    Gold is shared if I am logged in

    Xbox One(2)

    My Account- WIth Gold (HOME)

    Spouse account - WIthout Gold

    Gold is shared without me logged in
