Cant setup my network!

I haven't had any problems playing xbox live recently. I just got disconnected, and i cant even sign in to my wireless network with the CORRECT password. It says "cant connect. Check your network name and password and try again". I know it's the correct
password cause i signed into my wifi on my phone with the same network. I tried unplugging the router and modem....im lost...

cant update any games

so i cant update any games,so i cant play online anymore caused i clear my cache thinking it would help,i get a status code;3524-0000-d080-0200-8007-2746,i cant figure it out i called support,emailed,reset my whole network intial setup,ive only had it for
6months 250gb elite,do i use a hammer im not sure

Xbox one cant find any wireless networks

Hi all ,

After factory reset and restart of the XBOX , it cant recognize any of wireless networks while I run a new setup .

Appreciate any help

Easiest way to fix this.

Go into settings->network->advanced settings set IP & DNS settings to automatic

Then go back into the main settings screen and hit Power & Startup then "Restart Now"

WHen the console comes back up try reconnecting

Did you happen to play Destiny before this happened?

There is a bug in destiny that can temporarily break the wifi adaptor. Meaning it's impossible to connect.

I've seen a few possible fixes.

Clearing the custom MAC address then restarting is one.

The post above has a suggestion that might work.

And also holding the power button down for 10 secs until console fully shuts down then powering back on can fix it too.

The only sure way to stop Destiny breaking your connection is to use wired. Just got to wait for Microsoft or bungie to fix it.

I have one coax cable connection and one network cable

Ok, that is a cable modem. Meaning that device converts the cable signal to a network cable connection with a public IP address.

For testing what you can do is to unplug the power to the cable modem and turn off the xbox.

Then plug the network cable from the Xbox into the network cable port on the back of the modem and turn the modem back on.

After all the lights are up on the modem, then turn on the Xbox and go to the Network Settings on the xbox.

It may take a minute for the cable modem to give the Xbox an IP address but you should see a different IP address than these types below -

- 10.x.x.x

- 172.x.x.x

- 192.x.x.x

All of these IP addresses are what a router would hand out.

Your IP address should be different then those I just posted when the Xbox is connected directly to your cable modem

- Don't post your IP Address here -

If you get an IP address of 169.x.x.x then that means the Xbox is not getting an IP address of any type. And you might see that initially when connecting your Xbox to your cable modem.

Sometimes it takes a minute for the cable modem to pass that public IP address through to the Xbox
