Can't setup an xbox live account

    Can't setup an xbox live account


    For the past few weeks I have tried setting up an account on here using either a pre paid gift card or a pre paid credit card. I have not been allowed to use either of those on here. Could someone from microsoft inform me as to why I can't? I see no reason
    why I should have to use anything on the internet linked to my actual bank account to purchase something on here or in my case "try" it first.

    This issue has really made it so I'm not even sure if I want to try out the xbox live gold membership now.

    Changing the account region ????

    I recently bought an xbox 360 and in the setup process I created an xbox live account, however the account region was created with a US region and I live in Canada. I can't setup the billing information for XBOX live gold because I can't change the region
    to Canada !!!

    Is there a way to change the default US region on your account ?

    Buying and setting up used XboxOne, will there be issues??

    If the previous owner was smart he reset the console to default when he sold it so you dont have access to his Live account. From there the Xbox automatically goes through the setup process when booted up.

    You can't use credit on your Microsoft account to purchase Live. You either need to use a credit card or Purchase an Xbox Live card and use the code from that.

    It's not setup to purchase Live Gold with Microsoft credit.

    Normally, this issue occurs due to browser compatibility. Try to complete the approval using another browser preferable Internet Explorer, if not, complete it using the console.

    Gold is tied to the account. Unfortunately you can't transfer gold between accounts. If the account that has the gold is a member of your family then you can setup that console as their home console and you can share live.
