Can't set my account as main xbox on my own and only xbox.

What exactly are you trying to achieve?

Maybe you are confusing what this "main xbox" is for.

Since your account owns the digital games on your account, it's not necessary to have the console you play on your "Home Console" (which is the correct term for this).

You only need the Home Console for people OTHER than you to be able to play your games on that specific console.

In order to PREVENT rampant sharing to other people outside your family, game publishers originally restricted Home Console changes to 2 changes per year, and Microsoft made it, so you now can change it 5 times per year.

If you used up those 5 times, then you really have to wait until Oct. 12th, and there is no way to get an additional change.

Therefore: Think hard for whom you want to give access to your games. The Home Console feature is NOT intended to share your games to multiple friends "round robin" style, which is why there is the 5 times per year limit.

However, that 5 times per year limit has no influence on adding accounts to a console. So you should be able to use your 5y/o account on any console you want. Or are you trying to use the Home Console feature on that account as well?

Unfortunately you will not be able to get another Home change if you have used the 5 changes, you will have to wait until the first change has reached 1 year.

setting your home xbox as your own is what that feature is for, if your console breaks then you use the make this my home xbox setting for the replacement, it is not meant for sharing your games and account with other people outside of your home.

So, basically, my account that has everything on it can't be set as an home xbox on my only console? If it is so, who can I contact to get one, because it is a very akward position right now...
