Can't set any accounts as home xbox

I was trying to game share some games with another account and when I was trying to set the account as home Xbox it says Can't make this your Xbox, you can only have one home Xbox at a time. So I went and checked the other two accounts on the system and
none of them are set as home Xbox, is there a way I can fix this?

Xbox share? Hate to ask again.

Your not sharing your account....the accounts are totally separate....anything you buy under your account....regardless of where you buy it....you own.

Two gamers....say
GT-A and GT-B

They set it up so the HOME setting as follows....
GT-As xbox (Set as GT-Bs HOME Xbox) GT-B after setting it as home no longer needs to be logged in
GT-Bs xbox (Set as GT-As HOME Xbox) GT-A after setting it as home no longer needs to be logged in

Now any games GT-A buys GT-B can play at his house, and any game GT-B buys GT-A can play at his house.

For example:
GT-A buys Halo:MCC GT-A owns the game and can download and any one can play it on their home xbox (GT-Bs xbox) and any xbox GT-A logs into(they will always log into the xbox they own that is set as GT-Bs HOME xbox.)
GT-B can download and play Halo:MCC because the xbox One they own is set as GT-As HOME system.

Thats about as clear as I can make it.....

can you change the home xbox on a perma banned account

You can't use a perma banned account as xbox home cause that account lacks online privileges.

Yet you can use a new account and set it as xbox home in that console

Sorry you're having issues with your Home Xbox settings. The message you're receiving sounds like another Xbox is listed as your Home. You'll need to set "This is not my home Xbox" on the console that is listed as yours, or have someone else claim the home
Xbox on the other console. Please
see this link for more information. Also note that you can only set a Home Xbox 3 times, so I highly encourage you to only set the Home Xbox that you intend to use as your home, as you could end up in a situation where you cannot share games on your main
console.

If other accounts cannot add the home Xbox with the same message, I would suggest performing a hard reset and trying again. To do this, with the console powered on, hold the power button down for around 8 seconds. After the console shuts off, turn it back
on and repeat the steps to add your home Xbox.

Me and my friend got set our accounts as home consoles for some time(it all worked well). The error appeard when i deleted his account on my xbox as home console and wanted to change for anothers friend account.Now I can't set any account on my xbox as
home console and my friend can't delete my account from home console on his xbox . Messed up

you can't transfer games on Xbox One and you can't transfer progress from one account to another, but on you can set your Xbox One as the Home Xbox for the account that has purchased games/subscriptions and then any other account that signs in can play them.

they can also share Live Gold/Gamepass if you have them.

Even if someone has set their console as home with your account, you should be able to set your own Xbox as home, as console homes can be switched 5 times a year. Do you get any error when you try to. Because you have changed your account password, and
if you set your console as home, other person can not do that again as he can't login.

As long as you make one of the account your home account, then it should work.

You can't make an "account" a home account.

An account can set a specific console as that account's Home Console.

That way, this "Home Console" can share all games and memberships like Live Gold and Game Pass games with any account playing on that console.

So it's not an account that is a home account, but a console that an account sets as a Home Console.

You can't transfer any digital data between accounts. Your only option is to keep that account open and set as Home Xbox, so you can access the games on your other account.
