Cant Send Voice Message?

I think it's clear that Microsoft don't care about the forum since they removed the ability to give feedback about the forum on the forum.

Hell when was the last time Major Nelson or another big name bothered to post on here.

Facebook and Twitter are more important to Microsoft that the official Xbox forum.

Smart... if they wanna be where people are actually at. I can understand why they aren't too concerned with 20 people on a forum.

I would be happy with voice to text; might have even mentioned it before in this thread. If they are going to bring back voice messages there needs to options to set it to "friends only".

Still waiting for Voice Messages after 16 months. In my opinion, your next console should have all of the features that made the predecessor great. Not take away from it.

 

I use to use voice messaging all the time. So did my friends. Loved it! Was very useful, and a nice feature.

Apparently MS didn't feel the same way about it. Maybe they thought they'd sell more consoles without it.

 

Can you send voice messages over SKYPE on the One? I know you can on other versions of it.

Perhaps the reason for the lack of voice messages as a standard console feature is Microsoft's way of boosting user numbers on SKYPE.

 

You cant send or view skype voice messages on xbox 1s skype app. One of my friends sent one and i cant open or send voice messages on xbox 1 even skype. Microsoft you need some teens or twenty something year olds on your team im not trying to age discriminate
but the xbox 360 developers and younger gen know what we want.

It's Saturday night for me, and went to the official feedback site. There are several "we want voice messages back" type of threads on there, one of them has 6,420 votes. Microsoft doesn't need 50% of everyone on Xbox 360/Xbox 1 to pass a decision. Other
ideas include Picture Messaging which Xbox 360 can do, and Video Messaging. But Voice Messaging is an XBOX LIVE FEATURE which Xbox 360 has. Since Xbox 1 is Xbox, it ought to have it. Many people use this feature believe it or not. It's why this thread has
14 pages this discussion is still continuing. Only a fraction on everyone who's on Xbox 360 and Xbox 1 participate on the official feedback site and on this site's forum. Bring it back because I'm sure others on here are sick of ME whining why we still don't
have. But then again there are others too who want it back. I can't just force all my friends to come on here or go on the official feedback site and I wont. I'm sure some of the moderators too have a vibe or that this Xbox Live Feature needs to be brought
back, because sending messages over Xbox Live on your console via txt only, is not what I call next gen. Peace

comments over 270 I think. There IS a demand for it. And we're not talking from just one person here, were talking over 6,000 here. Those who are not Pro-Voice-Messages may not think so, but there is a strong demand. And if you haven't noticed, I'm writing
Lei Fang style. She sent me a private message. I didn't even know such a section as private messages existed on this site until late last year. I thought private message was Xbox Live Message. Microsoft, looks like you seriously need to bring it back.

I've said it before (actually lost track of how many times) and I'll say it again... this excuse just keeps coming up. It's like the default excuse against voice messaging. It is
baseless, weak and lacks forethought. Sorry, but it just does.

It actually takes an effort to play a voice message. There's a thing called a "Play" button you click on. Is someone putting a gun to peoples' heads and forcing them to click it? The
idea of people objecting to something they don't want to experience, when they actually have to make an effort to experience it is nonsense.

A voice message deletes just as easily as a text... in fact, you can read part of a text message (as a natural reflex) when you bring up messaging, so if someone you don't know sends
an angry message, you're more likely to know it with text than voice.

Again, bad excuse is bad excuse... not to mention lazy and uninspired... IMO...

 

There is no app for voice messages.

When there is I hope I can also decide to tell my xbox in voice what to write so I can send voice messages in words lol
