Can't send messages

So i haven't been able to send messages on xbox live to people who are not my friends. Not none of the obvious reasons like being blocked privacy is set to everyone or spelling name wrong i have not been banned. idk what the problem is but i called xbox
and they said i should post i seen that other people is having the same problem. Has anyone found out whats wrong and how to fix it.

I've been getting the same error message for days and cannot find this addressed in any support thread except this one.

Any "official" out there can tell me what's going on?

nope my suspensions have ended, and everything works fine except messaging, and you can't hear my mic in party chat

 

Do you have an xbox one? While I do not know if it carries over to the 360, I do know that the new rep system on the one can limit your communication abilities if your rep falls too low.

 

Like oOUTSIDERo62 mentions the reputation system seems to affect the 360 as well.

I'm on the 360 and my rep is kind of low 32% preferred. What I was reading in your link it says everyone gets a clean slate and i know for a fact this is old and it hasnt changed. Plus i find that kind of bull no one ever prefers a player always avoid. So
i can get hate mail saying im a cheater and have aimbot or what ever because im good and i cant even reply or even when someone says something nice and i want to reply. but the link apparently is not fully working saying they are experiencing technical issues
right now. So idk i cant see what i think you want me to. If thats the case truly anyway I pay for this whether it a month year or whatever and should be able to send messages it is absurd that i cant when i am forced to pay for live. Also i know people
with lower reps then me who can send so i doubt that anyways. I want my problem resolved.

 

I wasnt signed on the new tab for the link in the post before it says my rep is high its on the top green almost all the way through on dip to the second green. so thats still not the problem. I also checked my serial number and it says no enforcements have
been brought on my xbox.

 

Ok, is the problem occurring on both console and Xbox.com? Or is it only on one of them?

 

idk about xbox.com dont send randoms messages on xbox.com or anyone really so wouldnt know about on the site but console.

 

Can you try to send a message via xbox.com to see if it will work from there?

 

i sent you a message looked like it went through but its up to you to tell.

 

I haven't received any message btw and as far as I know my settings are that I can receive messages from anyone...

 

It's currently all I can think off. If I think of something else i'll let it know.

You could also try to contact Xbox Support to see if they can find a cause... to contact them use

well i have already called them before and they didnt know anything im sure these guys dont know anything either they told me to post on the forums

 

The only other time I have seen this kind of thing, it had to do with the new rep system for the ONE.
