Can't send messages on Xbox website

Dear ,

The issue is also occurring on my Windows 10 PC (at work) and in different browsers (IE 11, Chrome, Safari, Firefox, Edge).

The only way I can send messages right now is from the console, from the XBOX app on my cell phone and from the XBOX app on my Windows 10 PC (at work).

With a new account I created for troubleshooting purposes, I was able to send messages through the Xbox Live Website using my Macbook and also on my Windows 10 PC (at work).

The problem is specifically with my gamertag PabloCubs.

Hope someone could help me.

Aha, thank you so much for the clarification on that! I had misunderstood when you mentioned Windows 10.

At this time, you are one of two people still running into this that I (and my team) know of. The only thing I can suggest is to use the app as a workaround (for now). I'm going to hold on to your case on my end; if I get a couple more people running into
this, I can get it back up to the people that can investigate it. Because our Global Escalation Support agents weren't able to assist, we're kind of in a holding pattern.

I know it sounds like I'm kind of shoving you off, and I don't mean it to sound like that. I have to follow my processes here, unfortunately for some customers sometimes. I will post back if I get any updates on if someone is looking into it again. I deeply

Dear Support Team,

First of all, hope this message finds you well.

I know it's been 4 month since my last post, but I wanted to check if you guys had found a solution for my problem.

As expressed in the original post, since January of this year I haven't been able to send messages using the Xbox website (URL: Sign in to your Microsoft account).
The error I still get after all these months and all the troubleshooting is a grey spinning wheel (see image below).

I've tried different browsers, different computers/laptop/mobile. The problem is with my profile. This started to happen after the URL for messages changed from

Months ago I created a new xbox profile and with my new profile I can access MESSAGES without an issue.

Please let me know what else I can do, because it's been almost 8 months and no solution.

Dear Team,

First of all, hope this message finds you well.

I didn't complete the sentence here.

So my problem started to happen after the URL for messages changed from https://account.xbox.com/en-US/messages to Sign in to your Microsoft account

I guess for some reason Microsoft started to link the xbox account with skype.

I tested with my second account and I don't have a SKYPE account associated with my second email. So my messages with the second account loads perfectly.

With my primary account I DO have Skype. Is there a way to unlink Skype with my primary account?

Sorry you are experiencing the same issue as well. Unfortunately, Xbox/Microsoft representatives have not given me any solution. For me, it has been going on for over a year, so it is really frustrating.

I don't know how many service requests I have opened and they end up closing them with no solution.

Will keep you posted if they solve my problem.

I have the same problem, spent hours troubleshooting with the support team and nothing. I have tried multiple computers and different Internets, still nothing, my other accounts work as normal so I have no idea, hopefully this is fixed soon.

UPDATE:

randomly checked it this morning and the spinning wheel screen stopped, it loads the messages now but I can only see the messages from months ago before this happened, its very strange.

Ok so I have found a way to get it to load, go to xbox.com and the friends page, from there, then click messages and it will load the messages from before the time it happened.

Sorry for my late response. I tried what you suggested and first I got an error message "An error occurred, please try again later". When I tried one more time I got the spinning wheel.

Don't know what to do... and since January/February of 2017 I haven't got a definitive solution to this. It is so frustrating and annoying.

The first link sent me to this forum, so I guess i'm on the right site. The second link is to be able to speak with a Xbox support tech. I can try that.

I have already chat with at least five Xbox and/or Microsoft Techs. Each time I chatted with them they created a new Service Request. So now I have a collection of at least five different service request. The last tech was the one who told me to post the
problem on this forum and pray for an answer.

I hope they fix my problem.
