    Cant select payment option


    Hello all,

    I'm currently trying to add a one month gold subscription to this account. I already have my paypal linked onto the account, however, every time I'm ready to select a payment option, it says something along the lines of: Cannot load this at this time, please
    try again later. However, it is not giving me this same message when i try to select a payment method on another account which has my debit card on it. I also tried to buy a one month on Xbox One, however, it said something along the lines of: You can't have
    more than one of these active at the same time. Any suggestions as to how to fix this? It seems to be a problem strictly with the account.

    How to Manage your Xbox LIVE payment options

    Overview

    You can choose to use more than one payment method for your Xbox LIVE account. The payment options include credit cards and PayPal accounts. You can use these payment options to buy items from Xbox LIVE Marketplace.

    The 2-year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract uses only credit cards as the payment option. The other payment options like Debit Cards, Prepaid cards and PayPal are not valid for this subscription. However, you can change your payment to another credit card.

    If it is before the end of the two years and there is no credit card associated with your account, it is assumed you have terminated the subscription, and you will be charged an Early Termination Fee and any applicable taxes.

    It is easy to edit your payment options on your console or at Xbox.com

    Steps to Follow

    Add or change a payment option using your console

    1) Use your Xbox LIVE gamertag to Sign in.

    2) Proceed to Settings and then select Account.

    3) Select Manage Payment Options, and then choose either of the following:
    • If you want to add a new credit card, select Add Credit Card.
    • If you want to use your PayPal account on Xbox LIVE, select Add PayPal. You will be required to enter your PayPal username and password. Follow the instructions to add PayPal as a payment option. You cannot use PayPal as a payment option for the 2 year Xbox LIVE Gold Contract. PayPal is not available in all regions.
    4) After making changes to payment options, select Update Payment Option.

    Add or Change a payment option on Xbox.com

    1) Go to My Account.

    2) Select Payments and Billings and click on Manage Payment Options.

    3) You may be required to Sign in using your Microsoft account (email and password).

    4) Proceed to do either of the following:

    If you want to edit a payment option, select Edit.

    If you want to add a payment option, you can do either of the following:
    • Click on Add New Credit Card and enter the credit card information
    • Click on PAY with PayPal and follow the instructions.

    Cant authorize the selected payment option. Please select a different payment option or add a new one.

    I tried 2 cards and neither of them work.

    Mister Gwyther: Right now I´m gonna take a look at the things you have mentioned.

    First I´ll try card from another bank as soon as possible as there may be some sort of "incompatibility" between my bank a MS payment system.

    To the account region- right now all the regions are the same (bank region -physical region - account region) but a year ago I migrated my account and when I check https://billing.microsoft.com
    there are 2 "sub-accounts" or sub-addresses" listed -1. original one (UK) 2. current one (Czech republic). On other MS pages (Xbox, MS Live) I see only the current region -don´t know if this standard.

    Regardless of result I´ll report back with another update.

    Just an update on the issue - I checked my bank account and saw a couple of 1 dollar payments - probably "test payments" according to the MS FAQ - I really don´t understand why these payments go through while the regular ones don´t - I would expect no payment
    would be authorized, this is weird.

    I tried 2 different cards - VISA and Mastercard (both from the same bank) - both already used several times for online payments (Paypal is not an option in my country). My last guess is there may be some issues between MS payment system and my bank but I
    can hardly do anything about that (except changing the bank - can´t do that for several reasons). At the moment pre-paid cards are the only way for me.
