Can't select apps. Power light stays on. Replaced X1 today.

While playing any game when I start multitasking my X1 starts kicking me to home screen. I can highlight tabs / apps but I can't select any. Pressing 'A' makes the select sound, but nothing will load. If it does load its just a huge logo of what I selected.
Then it snaps itself and I cant quit either app. It will also stretch out and be warped, the logo I mean. So when this first happened I called and support stayed on the phone with me for over an hour until the problem occurred again. So I did the exchange
and got my replacement 3 hours ago. After 1.5 hours it did the exact same thing as my "Faulty X1" did. Also when I turn it off it just blinks a few times and locks in a powering down state and eventually turns off between 20-40 minutes. I can't find one single
topic in the forums about these problems combined. I've unplugged it, I've changed cables, I've moved it to a more ventilated space, I've managed all my settings and I can't solve this. PLEASE SOMEONE tell me what is going on! Is it overheating, is the OS
shot, is the brick bricked or what???

Got a new power brick today now my console works,if your power brick stays orange and white light comes on for 2-3 seconds and goes of then you have a faulty power brick you need to get it exchanged.

 

Power supply failure twice?!

I had to replace our power supply on our Xbox 360 when we had only owned it for a few days. Now, today, we are having the same problem and we can't get the red light fixed on the power supply. We replaced the power supply about a month ago. What do
I need to do to get this to stop happening?

 

Is everyone dealing with this exact problem and just hard restarting it each time? Is this because of the March update? Because it did work perfectly no matter how much I demanded of it before the update.

 

Give me a step by step guide to what you are doing when this occurs and i will replicate them on my X1 and report back.

I have had something similar happen to me once, but it resolved itself and hasn't happened since.

 

I posted the best step by step I could but it didn't post, twice. But I have an update. I read to change power mode to power saver and shut it down completely and unplug power brick for a minute. I've done so and not only has it not froze, I was also able
to broadcast to twitch for the first time. Something to so with a memory leak of sorts and a massive firmware update is supposed to happen in April.
