Can't select anything on dash. Help?

When I try to click anything on the Xbox One dash it won't open, whether it be "my games and apps" "friends" or anything. I press A to open what I want and I get the little animation but nothing opens. It sometimes opens if I rapidly click A but not normally.
Any idea why this is happening?

Is it possible to move or rearrange homepage?

Probably an older version of the dash.

Other than "pins" you can't move anything on the dash.

 

Taptiles problems - we need your help!

Select Dash on the main screen (My problem was with Dash, all other ways to play still worked for me).

Select Menu (after you're in the Dash screen with proper background/controls but no tiles).

Select Restart in lower right corner.

Select Continue

Anyway, this did the trick for me.

I'm not sure if its a controller issue but when I go to use a code it's stuck on shift (L thumb stick in) but its not while using games.

 

Ah I see. I cant load anything games or apps. it just stays on the dash. Or the dash goes crazy and i have to switch it off to stop the issue.

 

Turns out mine was actually my controller, left thumb stick is broken. Put a new one in and it worked. Hope you get yours sorted
