Cant seem to get past the first update.

I did the offline system update which seems to work fine. Then I get to a screen that prompts me to download another update in order to use my console. My internet connection is fine, but the system keeps telling me there is a problem. I honestly dont know
what to do other than spam the button over and over again.



Before you suggest anything I have tried the following solutions.

-Offline system update (using the os)

-Power cycle

-test my internet connection and attempt to download update



P.S using a wired connection and it has stated I have a good connection

im tryin to get past the northern base mission. cant seem to get the right combination lookin for some pointers

 

"Getting Ready to Update..".an never updates just frozen there...

I'm having the same problem. Cant get past 10% download for the initial system update, also on the "getting ready to update" screen.

 

Which file did you download for the Offline system diagnosis tool? Depending on your computer, it might not have been the right file.

Regardless, if you have done all this, that means that your console has an update error. You will need to set up a repair for your console. If you bought your console recently, I would go to the store to see if you could exchange it.

If they will not take it back, you can set up a repair 1 of 2 ways

1) Contact xbox customer support at 1-800-4MyXbox

2) Go to myservice.xbox.com and set up a repair there.
