Can't see the xbox 360 through HDMi cable

I have been using the components cable for watching my console, but I want to watch it through HDMI now, because I want to record gameplays. The problem is that the console video signal don't appear in the tv through the hdmi cable. I don't have it connected
with the component cable anymore since you can not have both cables at the same time due to the size of the components cable, so I have the console connected to tv only with the hdmi cable, abd it should be enough to see the xbox signal, isn't it? I have to
do something more? Why could be this happening?

It may not be backword compatible but it is console compatible. Your Xbox 360 can hook up to your Xbox one console through the HDMI ports. I'm pretty sure we will see some new things incorperated on the 360 with this cross console compadability.Click to expand...

The HDMI in port is for you to plug in your cable box.

How to play Xbox 360 and other consoles through xbox one!

This is a tutorial how to play your xbox 360 and other consoles through xbox one.

1. Plug your HDMI cable into your 360 and the xbox one HDMI in(Were you plug your TV cable in).

2. Turn your 360 on, Click the TV app on the xbox one and your xbox 360 should start up.

3. Now have fun you can now play your 360 through your xbox one, you can also use the snap feature with it.

This also works with anything HDMI Compatible

Reset the console display settings
If the display problem is still not resolved, reset the display settings of your console. Here’s how:

Remove any discs from the disc tray.

Turn off the console.

Turn on the console.
Note If you are using an Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, turn on the console by using the Guide button on the controller. Make sure that you use the player 1 controller when you do this. The player 1 controller will have the upper-left light illuminated.

As the console starts, on the controller, press and hold Y while pulling the right trigger. The display settings are reset to the default settings, and then the console automatically restarts.

I haven't ever heard anything about being able to connect an Xbox One to an Xbox 360 E, unless you just mean through the HDMI input, but that would work with the Xbox 360 S, too. If you want to play Xbox 360 games, you play them on an Xbox 360, plain and
simple. The controller that's synched with your Xbox One will not control a 360 game. You have to synch it to the 360. If I'm wrong on that, I'd love to know.

An HDMI cable is a pretty inexpensive means of hooking it up, but yeah, if you can't do HDMI, I'd recommend component cables. It's analogue HD, but it works.

Have you tried with a different HDMI cable? are you able to borrow another xbox and try your hdmi cable in it to see if its the xbox port ? have you tried connecting the hdmi cable in the front & back ports?

My xbox wont connect to HD at all whether it be through the cables with the HD option or through hdmi cable though I have no idea what the problem is as i've tried swapping all the different parts and everything works seperately

A power surge can only affect your Xbox through the power cord only. The ethernet cable and hdmi cable can't be affected by power surges.
