Can't see or move games on External Drive

I have an External Hard-Drive plugged into my console, and when I go to settings, console, then manage my storage, it clearly says that I have an External storage connected with things in it. I can also view the Internal storage and I can see all that, but
when I try and view my External Storage, it just shows everything I have downloaded on both. Another thing is on My Games and Apps, it's not letting me view specific storages, and it's not letting me transfer things from each storage either. That's my main
thing, I want to keep Halo 5 in my internal storage when it releases, and I want to transfer things into my External, but it's not letting me. Before I transferred other games and it worked fine, now it won't let me. Any suggestions? I've already hard reset
3 times and nothing.

Xbox one external storage issue

Hi, I have an issue with external hard drive on Xbox one since the last update (spring update 2017). When I connect the external drive it shows my games and plays it as well as before, but I can't move them to internal HDD, in the game management area there
are no option such as MOVE TO or COPY TO. also I can't move my games from internal HDD to external HDD. What should I do?

Harddrive questions

You can't disable the internal hard drive. Go ahead and attach an external hard drive and move all you games/apps/saves to it and run your games from the external drive.

Forgot to mention internal storage is also nearly full.

are the games installed on an external drive or the internal one, if on an external then move to internal and try again, if on internal then move to external and try again, to see if its a drive issue, if thats possible that is.

Are you using the internal drive or an external hard drive? If you are using an external drive try moving the game to the internal drive to see if that helps.

Also, I have 2 external drives, I tried to move the game to an 4TB external, and it says it can't be played from an external, not even on the One S.

Alright, I seemed to have fixed it. Turns out you can't have the game on one drive and the update on an external drive. All I did was to move a game to the external drive so that there was enough space on the internal drive to download the updates. Hope
