    Can't See Online Friends


    Hey all,

    I've been having this issue for a few months now. I've tried to get Xbox Support to help with no success. Basically I can't see any of my friends when they are online. Not on my Xbox OR on my account in the "Friends" section. My account is set to visible
    and non of my friends are set to "Do Not Disturb" or "Appear Offline." I can't invite anyone to an active game (because I can't see them online, nor will my Xbox let me even though they are online), but friends can invite me (friends can see that I am online).

    I don't think this an issue with they way my Xbox is set up because I can't see friends are online both on Xbox or on xbox.com in the "Friends" section.

    Any thoughts? Thanks for the help!

    Is there an easy way to view who of your friends is online and what they are currently playing, I thought xbox.com would allow you but it just says playing Xbox One

    Hey there, I would try deleting the profile from the console (profile only), clear the system cache, restart the console and re-download the profile as this can clear up a lot of account issues.

    Delete and re-download profile:
    support.xbox.com/.../profile-move-delete

    Clear system cache:
    support.xbox.com/.../clear-system-cache

    Also I would double check that your friends haven't changed their privacy settings as they can block you from seeing their online status without 'appearing offline'

    If you click on the 'My Account' heading under your gamertag at the top right and select 'Manage My security' you can permanently be set to offline, I would check that none of your friends have done this.

    Hey there, TTR7! This thread is a bit old. Go ahead and try the steps that Digital posted up if you are experiencing the same issue. If they don't work for you, please post up a new thread detailing what you're running into and troubleshooting you've completed.
    This way we can get you the individual support that works best on the forums. Can't See Online Friends :)

    Can't see console friends online.

    I suggest to restart your computer. If that doesn’t work make sure you have an up to date version of the app and if that doesn’t work then uninstall the app the reinstall it.
