Can't see my friends list or play games online

So glad that on my one night off a week that i cant even use my system that everyone here has spent hundreds of dollars on. The pay to play service that is supposed to be superior to a free to play that most of us have spent hundreds if not thousands of
dollars on. What do we get in return? "We are aware of the issue and we are working on a solution, please check back with us in 30 minutes so we can give you the same BS answer" Maybe for once instead of saying check back in 30 minutes, maybe someone should
provide us with a timeline so we dont have to sit here and push refresh every 30 minutes. Website barely works, cant even use my xbox one cause its useless without live. Thanks xbox for having a craptastic service.

So I told a friend about how great destiny is and how fun it is and he goes out buys an xbox one and boom can't sign into xbox live or see his friends list when he does get signed in. Well played microsoft well played pretty disappointing to have this happen
on a big beta event day...

Seems like a stunt from Microsoft to tell bungee to screw off. Microsoft is probably very but hurt that bungee is tending to Sony more than them lol.

Hey there CoffeeCoronet! No, you don't have to be someones friend in order to play with them online, however their are some parental controls that you can't talk to people and some other things unless you are their friend.

No, there is not a way to
see who all is playing a specific game unless they are on your friends list. If they are on your friends list, you can see what your friends are playing at the time.

i can't play mine either. login to live can see my friends list. can't join a party go to play gta v online and it says i just sign in but I'm already sign in.....

I know they are working on it but I can't join friends parties. I can see them online but they can't see me. I have checked my settings and everything is as it should be. I can play online games and create a party of my own but can't join friends. Not
sure if issues are the same.

If possible would you be able to add me into the Alpha Ring for system updates?

On my old xbox one I was Alpha but I recently purchased an xbox one s and removed my old console from preview program.

When I re enrolled a few months later I am only in the Preview beta ring if you can see my history you will see i was always active in feedback, quests, and surveys.
