Can't See My friends list anymore

Hi,

After the last recent xbox app update to version 24.24.20004.00000 I can no longer see my friends list anymore and who is online. I have tried removing the app uninstalling it and then reinstalling it without luck. We have another pc in the house with
the same version of the app so I signed into that and the app was working fine and I could see my friends list.

The Messages I get is "invalid pointer" or "Something went wrong try refreshing the app" but nothing seems to get the friends list to appear again. Any help/advice appreciated.

Can't see my friend as active on my friends list

On my friends list it shows one of my friends as 'last seen 5 hours ago' but they are actually online/active but it won't show that on my screen. I've tried reseting my Xbox a couple times, updating my Xbox and changing my profile from online to offline
to see if it fixes my problem but I've had no luck. Can anyone help me?

Hi Val,

Did everything you said to no avail I checked on another forum and somebody said they reformatted their pc and it fixed everything.

So I reformatted my windows 10 pc did a clean install and had the same problem so its not my pc.

Can you please check my gamertag as I believe its something on Microsoft end?

Thanks for the replay m,ate really appreciate your help and follow up with this. Accounts in excellent standing no strikes Also used the chat link spent about 30 mins with Arvil who was awesome he believes its an error with the app and
not my gamertag, account or pc. I event reformatted my pc today and its still the name. I used my old laptop and it had an older version on the xbox app and could see everything fine then it updated and same issue again. So must be a bug.

same boat bud it's been a week for me since 1/22/2017. I've contacted both xbox and microsoft support with no answers. Was told to let time sort it out.

2. Select Settings, and then select Update & Security.
3. On the Windows Update tab, select Check now to see if any updates are available for your device.
4. Once the updates have downloaded, select Install now to start the installation.
5. Following installation, we recommend that you restart your device so that the latest updates can take effect. Make sure that you save and close any apps that you have open before you restart.

If possible would you be able to add me into the Alpha Ring for system updates?

On my old xbox one I was Alpha but I recently purchased an xbox one s and removed my old console from preview program.

When I re enrolled a few months later I am only in the Preview beta ring if you can see my history you will see i was always active in feedback, quests, and surveys.
