Can't see friends on xbox live, or in game (destiny)

I have Xbox one, reset power, reset router, nat open, everything fine yesterday. Today xbox home can't show me friends in game, or on XBL.

Managed to start a multiplayer game by having friends join session in progress, then got sent to orbit and could not re-join because can't "see" any friends online.

Can still send messages to friends, just can't "see them"

Xbox support shows an issue with multiplayer for xb360 but I am on XB1.

Help? Explanation?

This console is an expensive brick to me If I can't do multiplayer.

unable to join game together in Destiny with friend who's on xbox 360 while I am on xbox one

I am unable to invite an online friend in Destiny who's playing on an XBOX 360 while I am playing on an XBOX One. Is this a known limitation with cross platform friend games for Destiny or is there another reason why we can't play in the same game? When
I try to invite him, I can never "see him in the list of friends", but we are able to send messages back and forth so he is clearly online.

So I told a friend about how great destiny is and how fun it is and he goes out buys an xbox one and boom can't sign into xbox live or see his friends list when he does get signed in. Well played microsoft well played pretty disappointing to have this happen
on a big beta event day...

deleting your profile from the console and
re-downloading it?

i'm in the same boat. Some apps seem to work.. like Netflix, but can't see friends online. Can't play Destiny. wtf!?? Also Xbox 360 unable to connect to XBL at all.

I agree that Destiny game play is very repetitive, and without any real matchmaking system, I can't see this game going very far.

To be fair to Bungie and Destiny, what games really live up tho the hype ? Destiny is a fun loot hunting, FPS MMO want to be. It's not great, but it's not bad either.

^ Lives been screwy for two hours now. At first I could be on live just fine, but the friends list and party features were broke. Then Destiny started messing up. Now I can't access anything. Titanfall just wont go past the menu. Destiny sits in the tower
doing nothing. Nothing works for me. Never got to do the Moon event in Destiny
