Can’t see friends list

I turned on my xbox this morning and i cant viee my friends list or friends in game tab - it shows 0 currently online but i cant wven get it to show my friends list, period. It just says suggested friends. I still have my friends - it still says i am connected
to somebody if i click on their profile through messages.

help. What haaapppppeeennnneeeddd?

Friends list is gone?

Same issue. And it won’t let me send out friend request to most of my friends; I believe this is because when speaking with one of my friends that I was trying to request again he said I was still on his friends list. So issue for me is compounded even more
as I can’t even repopulate my list.

try log out. Power cycle your console. Please hold down the power button on the front of the console for approximately 15 seconds until the power light shuts off. Wait about 60 seconds, then power it back on. Be sure you see the green "XBOX ONE" animation
loading screen when you power it back up. then log in

If you haven't already, then I would try to power cycle the console following the steps outlined here on

How to restart or power cycle your Xbox One console. It's usually the fastest of our general troubleshooting steps.

If that does not work, then I suggest removing and redownloading your profile as instructed on the page entitled

How to add or remove a Microsoft account on Xbox One and see if that helps.

Give those steps a shot and let us know how helpful they were with resolving your issue.

Do a hard reset on your xbox console

 

I have done all of these - i did all of these before making my way to the forums. Deleted profile, cleared the cache through cycling the power and then re-added the profile and it still doesnt work. Im also getting “Sorry, we cant save your changes right
now. Tey again in a while.” When i try to change profile items or add new friends......

Thanks for reaching out to us! We understand this can be confusing and frustrating since the friends list
is not showing up properly. We see that this is becoming more widespread and are collecting as much information as possible on this issue. I would suggest trying a
Soft Factory Reset.



Generally when this happens, it could be the operating system is having some technical difficulties since the list
is viewable on other devices.





Side Note:
It is
very important to make sure you know the primary email/password to the account before removing
it from the console.

To check the email being used with the gamertag, go to
Settings > Account > sign-in, security & passkey;
in middle column at the top it will say "show on home"
if it is checked it will rotate from gamertag and email on homepage. If it is not check marked, it will show in this box.

P.S make sure you are connected to a stable network beforehand.
