Can’t see chat and can’t change privacy settings

Hi, I play on the switch and I use an Xbox live account to play Minecraft. I can’t see the chat when I log into servers like the hive, other than server messages and my own chat This doesn’t apply when a friend joins my game, (not realm bc I can’t use realms either) or when I friend someone on a server. I’ve determined that the reason for this is that my privacy settings are set wrong but whenever I go to fix them using this link https://support.xbox.com/en-US/help...e-safety/manage-app-privacy-settings-xbox-one it just brings me to answers of how to fix the problem and links that lead me back to the same page. I’ve tried logging in and the privacy setting option brings me back there. I’ve heard a person say you need to do it from a different page for Xbox live on Reddit but that page is down. I am not under a parental account as far as I know but it is possible, though very unlikely.

You will need to try opening this link account.xbox.com in a different browser or device if possible. We have read that there were some gamers who couldn't open the page on Safari (we don't know why), so if that's what you have tried we suggest you try on another browser.

Oh sorry I forgot to check the thread. So both of us have our privacy settings on friends only but it say that they can’t talk to me because of privacy settings and we are both friends so they can’t here me or talk to me.

It’s already set to everyone for every single privacy setting also it doesn’t let anyone talk anymore at all and I can’t remove anyone or change the name
