Can't see all Xbox 360 purchases for download

I've had Gold for five years or so and have been pretty diligent at 'buying' my offerings of free games each month. Over time I've upgraded to an Xbox One, then added a One S. I recently setup a 360 again, wanting to take advantage of the plug in USB
storage and my back catalogue of Gold games. I then hit the first issue - why is it so difficult to find what I already own? The method of listing via a PC isn't there any more for 360 games. The alternative is cumbersome...I ended up generating my own
listing in Excel after lots of looking up on an Xbox One. This is far from convenient.

My second issue. Having searched online I've found useful lists of all Games with Gold released previously. I then began the very cumbersome process of searching for games on my 360 that I believed I should own. Using this method I did find and install
quite a few BUT I was surprised to find a number that I couldn't install. For example, Bayonetta - this is found in a search but all the results lead to the DEMO only, looking like a problem at the store end. Other games are found and have no option to download,
for example DiRT 3, which simply gives me the option to Rate it. There are further games that I simply couldn't find - search results proved fruitless, for example The Cave. Finally, a sizeable number of the games I found wanted to charge me for download.
I understand I may of missed the odd one but there are lots of them, for example Dante's Inferno, Dragon Age II and Mercenaries Playground of Destruction - that's three consecutive titles, bookended by ones I can download. Some months I got the Xbox One title,
but not 360. It doesn't make sense. I have memories of 'buying' some it suggests I didn't (Dante's especially, I'd never gotten to it but wanted to!).

To sum up; why so tough to find what I've already bought, why the difficulty in actually downloading a significant number and why do some appear to want to charge me again?

Another thing to look at.

You have the list of games that were offered with the games with gold for the 360 and I assume the dates also.

Even though these were free games with gold they would still show up in your order history at account.microsoft.com you can just go there and look at the dates for the purchases to see if they were purchased/redeemed during that period.

Yeah, there used to be a web-based list (on the same page as the One list actually). They quietly removed it so no one really knows why. I miss it.

Games with Gold purchases do not show in your transaction history on the billing site.

Many thanks for that. It had been so long since I'd been on the 360, I'd forgotten that method.

So, this solved a lot of issues - finding games like Bayonetta and The Cave. I've set 20+ downloads going and as many again to download later. It has to be said though, this is cumbersome and slow. Why oh why can't there be a simple web based list? Using
the 360 to go through a decade of purchases is a slow process...so many DLCs and demos over the years. Also got quite a lot in the list showing simply as 'Content cannot be accessed'.

Anyway, thanks again. Still puzzled by how many aren't there that I'm sure I bought...like Dante's Inferno.

You should still be able to find everything you own through your purchase history on the 360 itself. Even if the games have been delisted in the store, you should be able to redownload them there. If they're not listed in there and you they do not show as
purchased in the store, then typically that means they were purchased on a different account.

Sign in to Xbox Live on your console using the gamertag that you used when you originally purchased the content.
Go to settings and select Account.
Select Download History.
Browse your download history and find the item you want to download again.
Select the item, and then select Download Again.
