Can't save xbox 360 games to the xbox one

    Can't save xbox 360 games to the xbox one


    I've never had a profile on an xbox 360 though i have played some of the games and liked them so when i purchased my xbox one i decided to get one of the games that i had previously liked. Now when i try to play the game it says i need to sign in to save,
    though i already am signed in, and it goes to the sign in menu for 360 and all that pops up is download profile. when i try to download my xbox one profile it says that it is unrecognized. did i waste money buying a game i cannot save?

    Transferring Saves

    Hi, You can't transfer your Xbox 360 saves to play on Xbox One games, except for games that have that function, eg Minecraft. What you are talking about currently is for Xbox 360 backwards compatibilty on the Xbox One. What you do is move your save on
    the Xbox 360 to the cloud, so you can access that save when playing the same Xbox 360 game on the Xbox One.

    No you can't transfer you Xbox 360 game saves via a hard drive you will need to use an Xbox 360 to transfer the game saves to the cloud once you have done this your Xbox One should then see the game saves.

    No, you can't play 360 games on Xbox One, the saves on the cloud for your 360 games are unaffected though

    It is possible to save gameplay on both Xbox 360 and Xbox One without Internet access. The only thing that won't happen is your game saves won't be backed up to the Xbox Cloud (on Xbox One) and you can't use the Xbox 360 cloud-saved game storage.

    On Xbox One, you will need to make sure your console is set to offline only mode, so it won't try to copy your game save to the cloud. However, there may be some titles that require an online save. Does someone know if NBA 2K18 is one of those games?
