Can't Save on Xbox one, When is the patch coming out?

So according to Ign the patch is coming this week, i believe, so can anyone comment on that? i cant Save my game, had to even restart and delete everything according to suggestions, which is fine by me, means i wont make some mistakes this time around
on the storyline, but even so, it still wont et me save, this is getting out of hand, we all paid for it, the least they could do is give us a time frame?

Same Here Skyrim Patch 1.3 is coming to xbox soon when it does that probibly will be the update we need.

I read on bethesda.com the only way to fix is load a save game earlier but thats pointless because im level 47 and have awesome weapons and armour.

as far as I am aware they haven't released any dates yet for patches for consoles only pc.

The save issue is one they know about - but doesn't effect everyone. Did you suspend your game - ie just jump back to the dashboard and then turn your xbox off/do something else? Seems the save issues might come from suspending / resuming the game (same
thing for ps4). They also might crop up if your play time is around 30 + hours. Basically sounds like a mess that might take time to fix.

I always quit back to main menu before switching it off and haven't yet had a problem. (Crosses fingers!)

Just something to have a think about until we hear something from the devs. Sorry its not more help!

 

put in atleast 30hrs. sounds like the problem. worked fine til then. no saves load then CTD. bummed

 

Hey Zeus, yeah i've tried everything from Xbox live support, i mean I even deleted my saves and restarted the game all over, i dont mind it because im just that much of an RPG fan that im willing to just play it all over, I've tried what you said, and still
its not budging, according to IGN and Gamespot Devs should have a patch lining up pretty soon, its a bummer that they brought it out for PC first, as we can imagine its free for them, and much easier.

At this point is basically the Waiting game like someone stated up there.

 

Tried to play last night at level 14 on Xbox One, after many hours of play. The game won't let me load most recent save - or any manual saves. I tried troubleshooting (I don't use the suspend and resume function, forced a hard reset and cleared the locally
saved games) and loaded a older cloud saved game. This did not fix the problem and I continue to lose all new saves and checkpoints (the game lets me continue to play and save - just won't load any of the new saves and kicks me out after I die). At this point,
it does me no good to continue to play because I can't save any progress. Does anyone have a troubleshooting suggestions other than waiting for the patch?

 

I think they will release it tomorrow.

 

Update time! Quote from the community dev on the Witcher forums:

"The 1.03 patch on Xbox One will feature both, the FPS lock on 30 and will remove the save problem. We are hoping it will go live by Friday"

 

To get around this, I had to physically unplug my Xbox from the wall outlet and wait about a minute. The game loaded back to the last save point before the issue, which was a checkpoint for me so I didn't lose too much time.

Hopefully it'll help out those who haven't got the update or until the update arrives..

 

Just had a weird experience. After 2+ hours playing, could not save at all, either. Quit out to root menu and restarted the game, but it's not been able to load the game menu since. Just keeps waiting after having "pressed any button to continue".

Even after having unplugged the system, still no luck. I've reinstalled the game to no avail. Game is stuck on "Please wait"

Go to xbox/settings/on/off settings,energy saving.

As long as you have "standby" your saves are in danger!

 

do these patch's actually work? every time i have a problem with a game and a patch is issued and i download patch, it never seems to fix the problems.

 

The 1.03 patch fixes the "can't save" bug. It does NOT fix a different bug that is also related to saved games. I have posted a long thread (with several replies to myself, LOL) that talks about it. Short version: supposedly if you start the Mystery of
the Byways Quest but don't finish it, then, after several hours (not sure how many) you will still be able to "save" but the save games will not load. If you load an old save game everything will seem to be fine, but when you create new saved games those
will not be loadable, either. Pretty much a progress killer.

SUPPOSEDLY this is fixed by completing the Mystery of the Byways quest, but that may be a tall order because the boss at the end is quite tough, especially if you are several levels below the recommended level, but it may be the only way to get the save
function to work again. Haven't had a chance to test it.

BTW, per the message boards the PS4 has the same problem. Also BTW, the 1.04 patch does not seem to fix this particular problem. (At least, the PS4 1.04 patch didn't)
