Can't save anything on HDD for XBOX 360

    Can't save anything on HDD for XBOX 360


    I've got a problem with a hard drive I bought for my xbox 360. I neither can download nor save datas on it. I can download until like 50% then it stops and tells me, that the wanted stuff can't be saved/downloaded.

    The HDD is no original Microsoft product, but another one from the same producer works just fine so far.

    I tried all of the given steps on xbox.com (formating, deleting profile, ...)to fix it, but none of them worked.

    It would be great if someone was well up with that problem and can help me - as far as there's a chance.

    Transfer Xbox 360 HDD data to Xbox One without cloud

    I got the red ring of death on my Xbox 360 S meaning I can't save my game data on there to the cloud. I tried using my transfer cable but the Xbox One didn't read the 360 HDD. Is there anything else I can do to transfer my saves?

    Try moving your profile, and saves over to the new HDD.

    The only thing an Official HDD will give you that unofficial HDDS can't (At this time) is the ability to play BC Original Xbox games on the 360.

    Backwards compatible cloud storage on Xbox One.

    Hi. To do that on Xbox 360, go to your cloud saves and copy the game save to your HDD for Xbox 360. Remember, you have to play with your Xbox 360 HDD attached and with the game saves you have copied from your cloud to your HDD.
    I can not copy the save file over to any other storage device no matter the console I use, when i try to do anything it just says that it's being used on another Xbox.

    Fat and Slim 360 External HDD Recognition Help

    The 360 will only use 16 GB, but your HDD will still work, you just can't use more than 16 GB of it on 360 (should be plenty for some save files).

    External USB HDDs really shouldn't care if they are on a fat or a slim. Only the HDDs made for 360s care if they are on fat or slim.

    It is not possible. Xbox format the HDD for itself inserts files into it. And it determines the HDD as an Xbox to connect to this HDD but you can not save anything on it. If you try to do this, it will prompt you to format the HDD.
