Cant run downloaded Games

My son, a minor was using our Xbox360 to play games with. Naturally, he took it over after a while. He wanted his own account to play games under his name. In the meantime, we purchased games both from the retail store and some from online.

We bought him an Xbox One for Christmas and I put the Xbox 360 back in the living room. I have my own Gold Account (and he wouldn't let us use his because he is using it on the Xbox One). I tried running the games we purchased while he was on his account,
on my account. Even though it is present on the hard drive and has a full controller icon, I can not seem to get them to load. It says "can not run XXXX" where XXXX is the name of the game.

I tried using Transfer license (not sure what that is) and it said something about the licensed being transferred. I still can not run any of the downloaded games.

Any suggestions? It would be ashamed to waste the money we put into these games, and they can not be played on the Xbox One.

now i downloaded the new system update unplugged my hdd. put that in and it asked to run it so i did n *** re installed it put hdd back in went to game and still cant download file

all my games are downloaded and I cant play any of them because its it saying the person brought it need to sign in. This is crazy because my xbox live about to run out and I'm not able to enjoy it.

 

Did you redownload the games after performing a license transfer? You would need to redownload the games in order to sync the licenses with the console.

 

I deleted one game and then it said that it was $39.99 for the download.

I used the license transfer while logged into our live account. I am guessing I have to ask him to log on his and use the transfer while logged in his account?

 

Yes. Since the games were purchased on his account you would need to do the transfer from his account and redownload the content (you don't need to delete it before). You can redownload faster from his download history -
