    Hi,

    I need some help accessing a microsoft account that I've forgotten the password to,

    I've not used the account for many many years other than on xbox live so cannot remember much in the way of details about it like prevoius passwords or last sent email etc...

    I'm still signed in on my 360 with a current live gold membership and all my saved games and data but cannot load my account onto my newly purchased xbox one, can anyone help me I'm tearing you hair out I've tried countless times to reset the password but
    keep getting refused and now I'm being told to create a new account,

    can anyone help? I just keep getting automated email responses and if I could actually speak to a real person I might be able to sort this mess out.

    Don't remember password/can't reset password.

    I'm sorry but I think you're out of luck until you can remember the password or get it reset by answering the necessary security questions.

    After all, it wouldn't make much sense to secure your account with a password if there was a way to bypass that security without one.

    Don't remember password/can't reset password.

    You could try and call Xbox Support and maybe they can help you out

    Because Microsoft does not allow this. Parents cannot change children's passwords.

    The best thing I would suggest you to do is to add a phone number or an alternative email address on the accounts. It can be your phone number and email. This way if you forget the kid account email address or password, you can use your phone or email to receive a reset link and will not even need the recovery form.
