Can't renew gamepass. Wrong country of orgin.

According to information obtained from a response here on the Microsoft community forum, independent advisor Jorge C mentions that if you are renewing your subscription or purchased Live Gold with a different region than the one you want to change, then you will not be able to change it.

Example:

In your case, if you are in the United States, but your Subscription is from Ukraine, support cannot change the region of your subscription, and to do this migration you will have to purchase a 01-month U.S. Ultimate card (Token) and redeem in your account, because the system does not allow you to make the purchase through the store due to the difference in region.

I'm sorry, but none of that makes sense. Someone had hacked my account, and got the origin changed, so everything is in russian. They changed it from USA to Russia somehow. So how did they do it and how can I undo it?

So, I am now totally confused!! Are you all saying that I can open 2 accounts, one for the UK and one for France and then switch between them?

I appreciate that whilst in France I won't be able to use things like Sky player but that isn't a problem as we have Sky tv anyway in France.

It is more with regards to the language, when I go into my account and anything else it is always in French and whilst I can speak French, I don't necessarily want to use it in my home life as it isn't my native language! And as previously stated I prefer
to pay in UK Sterling rather than in Euros

well billowy how does that counterdict each other?

your billing address must match the region of your account

saying that you live in the US when you live in canada is a violation of the terms of use

if you do not live in canada no more you need to make a new account as in life you cannot take certain things including credit etc accross borders

you can access accounts but within limitations only so much transactions and so many dollars

you cannot change the region of the account so to comply you must create a new account
