Can't remove follower?

I remove unwanted followers by blocking and unblocking them but one stays no matter what. It began since I was on xbox one, now I use the series x and it's still there... so annoying.... how do I get rid of it?

Hi Invader Z! I hope you are well, delighted to be able to offer you my help!

While you can't completely disable followers, you can adjust your 'Privacy Settings' to set the amount of information you'd like to share with your followers.

Simply navigate to Settings > Online privacy and security > select custom and make the desired changes. In the end, you can set it so that no one can see anything about you.

Unfortunately, there is no set way to remove followers from your list. The “Lock and Unlock” method has been reported to work, but it is nothing official.

As far as I understand, you can't remove followers.

If you have blocked these followers, they can't access your profile or other information and can't contact you.

But they are still listed as followers.

Restart your console and check again. Keep in mind that if you send messages to these followers you will unblock them.

Under your privacy settings you can try setting options under the Others can: menu to Friends Only or Nobody.

It seems you can disable a good bit but I'm not sure if it will disable them from following you.

It will however stop them from seeing your activities w/o friending you or you can even disable that.

Note: The privacy controls are on account.xbox.com web menu not from the xbox privacy menu.
