Can't remove demo?

I had downloaded the Zoo Tycoon demo about a month or so ago, I was going to clear up some space on my hard drive when I noticed that there were two separate listings for Zoo Tycoon under "Games":

One said "Zoo Tycoon Demo" and I could play, uninstall etc, which I've now uninstalled.

Then there is another which I cannot get rid of the tile for, which says "Zoo Tycoon" and under it says "Ready to install" it has a little cloud icon at the top right of the tile, but if I click menu I have no option to uninstall just go to store, so now
it's permanently stuck, which makes no sense, how can I remove this?

remove your profile from the console and then
power cycle the console. Then sign back in and let us know if you are still seeing that person on your friends list.

I accidentally added someone to my friend's list. Now when I try to remove them they do not disappear. If they do disappear it is only momentarily. I have tried removing them from the console, xbox.com, and the Xbox app. I have even tried blocking them and
they still appear. Reached out to Xbox customer chat and they said the person could not be found on my friend's list. Is there any troubleshooting or anyone else having this problem. May switch consoles if cant get better service than a delayed and unfulfilling customer
chat window.

I think that this is likely an update or free dlc that was downloaded but not installed and for some reason did not delete when you deleted the demo. Perhaps you can redownload the demo then try to delete the add-on content; or install it then delete everything.

 

I have a similar issue. When I remove the Zoo Tycoon demo it appears on under the Ready to Install list on the right hand side of the (My Games & Apps) Games Tab. When I reinstall it from there it then removes the demo from the list as it should. However
I still have the old Zoo Tycoon Demo tile present, which is now greyed out with a cloud icon in the top left hand corner. When I press menu on this item I don't get any options for it - when I do this on the installed version or when it's listed in the Ready
to Install list I get options to manage content and view in the store. It appears the greyed out tile for the game might be corrupted as it doesn't seem to respond to anything. Complete power cycle doesn't work. Uninstalling and reinstalling does work as the
tile/app appears to be broken. I hope Xbox Support fix this issue soon as it appears like both are taking up hard drive space even though one doesn't work.

 

I installed a free Call of Duty DLC and now I can't find it anywhere to remove it from my disc. (I dont own COD)

similar problems.

Both tiles are of the Zoo Tycoon demo - the greyed out tile being next to useless. Power cycles do not resolve the issue and re-downloading the demo and uninstalling does not resolve the issue either. On my conole the tile appears regardless of who is signed
in or not signed in on my console so it's not just my account that's got the issue.

One solution they've asked me to try, but I refused, was to do a factory reset of my console to see if that fixes the issue.

I think I'd rather wait for the next update to see if that fixes/resolves the issue or wait for them to patch it as I don't want it to ruin any of my game saves or game progress and fundamentally have to reinstall everything again.

 

Same problem here. The tile is just there. I'm also hoping for an update. Maybe there is still something on the disk you can delete, when the disk-browser is implemented like in the xbox 360. While there is not enough content to fill the disk, the disk-browser
isn't needed, but soon, with more content changing the whole app/game-browser concept is needed.

You can still see, that xbox one is not RTM, at least not the OS. But it is the same at the competitor's console.

 

Has any new information been provided for this problem? I'm still having the same issue as well. It isn't affecting my Xbox's performance in any way. It's just a minor annoyance seeing a useless tile.

 

I would like an update to be able to remove items from the "ready to install" list

 

I am having tv this same problem with the Lego movie demo.... no grey tile but the ready to install tile is there and can't seem to find a way to get rid of it. Hopefully an update on this soon.... just a minor annoyance

 

I've had this same problem since January. It's June 5th, and they still haven't fixed it.

 

+1 for this, MSFT, if you read this, we need the ability to remove the uninstalled games from that list...

 

I have the same issue with Zoo Tycoon demo. Tile is greyed out listed as Ready to Install. The biggest issue is that I just bought the Zoo Tycoon game and is not able to install it. It created a new tile but it gives the following error message: "Please
try again, Sorry that didn't work for some reason. (0x80070002)". Power cycles do not resolve the issue. Also, re-downloading the demo and uninstalling does not resolve the issue either. I believe the demo is impeding the full version of the game to be installed.

 

Only thing I can suggest etfh2010 is to do a complete factory reset of your console - that was the only way I managed to remove the grey tile from My Games and Apps - it is a pain having to reinstall everything but if the tile is that much of an issue it's
your only option sadly.
