Can't remove certain followers

For some reason I can't remove certain followers. Even though I block these certain followers, they still show up in my followers list

You cannot remove your followers, only can ask them to remove you. When shows that they have you added....they do, you cannot change it by remove and blocking, the blocking option just make that they cant contact you, and you appears offline to them, but
still appears on their friends list.

People are "followers" when they add your gamertag to their friends list, but you didn't add them to your friends list. There is currently no way to remove followers, as far as I know. The only way this person gets off your follower list is if they remove
your gamertag from their friends list.

If you don't want this specific follower to contact you in any way, blocking them is all you have to do. Blocking prevents invites, messaging/talking to you, and seeing your online activity.

Restart your console and check again. Keep in mind that if you send messages to these followers you will unblock them.

 

I tried that, but they still show up in my follower's list. And there's no messages to them. The xbox shows that they are blocked.

 

Try removing the account from the console, doing a hard restart, hold the power button for 10 seconds while the system is on, and then re-adding the account.

 

As far as I understand, you can't remove followers.

If you have blocked these followers, they can't access your profile or other information and can't contact you.

But they are still listed as followers.

 

It remain the date when they added you yet they shouldn't be able to follow your activities anymore

 

I do not believe you can block followers from your account. You can only block them from seeing your profile. So they will be still following you, but unable to see what you are doing.

 

I have the same issue, some followers can be removed instantly while certain ones cannot
