Unfortunately as Microsoft and Xbox ToS only the owner of the account can request account recovery assistance. I understand you want to make sure other kiddos will be able to play when you're done with it. Speak to hospital staff, maybe some one there
can get this issue resolved.

Since it's not your account there's not much that can be done as far as recovering the account. The hospital will have to contact Microsoft is they don't have the acount information to log back into the console.

This is a difficult one. Have you asked the hospital staff? Perhaps someone has noted it somewhere?
