Can't remember account info :(

I have no idea how this account stuff works, I thinks it's all too convoluted anways.

So I own a ps4 and I own minecraft on it. I used to be signed in on a certain account with an old email I had but I can remember which one since I have a ton for some reason. I think I know which one but even if it is the right one, I can't remember the password and to make matters worse, I'm not signed into the email on this phone and it won't let me sign into it for whatever reason. Now I have no way to access my Microsoft account and since minecraft won't let me play with any other account other the original I can't just make a new one which means I can't play minecraft with my friends.

You can try logging into Minecraft.net in the same device you used to link your accounts the first time as in that site on the same device your account could be saved

If not you will need to try logging on any account available until you find the right one, if you don't remember the password for your accounts, you can do the recovery process

This is frustrating for sure. However if you can't remember any info at all for the account I'm pretty sure they can't search the card info specifically on it's own. You may have to cancel the card entirely and request a new one.

I think I have to first sign in as the account that's linked and I can't because I can't remember any of the info for that one. I've pressed the unlink dozens of times and nothing.

Mellerker, you got to remember to never post any account info on any of these external sites.

Keep your info safe.

Xbox and Microsoft can't govern any external website that isn't part of their system.

My hotmail account is ... set it up years ago and used fake info so I can't answer the questions to restore the account. I called Microsoft customer support and they were useless. ...

Account thieves tried to social engineer Microsoft Support to gain access to other peoples account with the exact same "reason" why they can't tell them the personal information in that account.

Therefore it is VERY IMPORTANT to put accurate information in the account that you can remember and are able to verify in such a case.

If you can't remember the "fake info", it is the same as if you were a hacker trying to "guess" accurate info from someone else.

Therefore the Microsoft Customer Support can't/won't help potential account thieves.

You will have to use the information XBF Eladio M provides, and if that doesn't work for you, then I'm afraid your account is now lost to the fake information in that account. 😞
