Can't reinstall game on Xbox Games Pass for PC

Hi,

I'm having issues reinstalling a game on Xbox Games Pass for PC.

I'd downloaded a game (Ori and the Will of the Wisps), and subsequently uninstalled it.

After uninstalling it, it remained in the list of games on the left of the app (although it does appear to be uninstalled from the disk).

Now, I want to install it again. If I click on the install button, then it just flashes up the download bar for a fraction of a second, and then brings the install button back. I can't find an error message to indicate why it has not installed (there is
enough room on the disk).

I think the Xbox app thinks the game is in the 'Queue' - if I use the filter at the top left of the app, and select queue, I just see the Ori game. Right-clicking and selecting Uninstall doesn't do anything.

I've tried Repairing and Resetting the Xbox app - not sure what I can do here??

Hi!

It appears that the game has not been uninstalled correctly. Try to uninstall the game manually: App->Select the game->Uninstall

Then try reinstalling it from the store.

try installing it through the windows store if you can, that might be a work around, also if you haven't already try signing out and back into the app and restarting your PC if you haven't already.

Found the issue! There was an update to this game queued in the 'Downloads and Updates' section of the Microsoft Store. I think the update was stuck there in limbo, as I'd uninstalled the game. Downloading the update now - and now it shows up as downloading
in the Xbox app.
