    Can't register xbox one controller or contact support


    I am trying to register an xbox one controller I have that I purchased from https://xboxdesignlab.xbox.com/

    After a few months of use, the RB button is broken (only works when you press it a certain way) and I would like to repair/return. In order to do that, I need to register my device...

    When I go to https://account.microsoft.com/devices/ and try to add the 14 digit serial number, I get the message "We didn't recognize this serial number" (I later asked a friend try to register it on their account and they got the same message).

    So I next try to contact support... when I call the support number, I'm told to go to the website and do everything through there (where it doesn't work).

    I request a call back from support via https://partner.support.services.microsoft.com/en-us/contact/callback/120/?disability=false&mode=live&partnerId=xbox - but each time I get the call, I'm either hung up on or there is a silent line (had a silent 20min
    call).

    At this point, there is no way for me to get in contact with support or register my controller to check my warranty and begin repair/replacement procedures.

    What should I do next?

    Controller/warranty/registration/contact issues

    You need to contact xbox support to help you set up a repair for elite controllers as you can't simply register them with serial number.

    The solution is to contact Xbox Support. You can't register the controller and there is no repair option for controllers, only replacement if your controller is within warranty.

    The controller or elite controller or any Xbox Accessory is just 90 days here in the states.

    And can't contact them by phone, by tchat (only if i register my controler :s)

    Registration Issues

    You can't register the controller. You'll need to contact Xbox Support. Make sure you have a copy of your receipt.

    There are no repairs done for the controller, only replacements.

    If Xbox Support creates a repair order for the controller you'll have to pay for shipping to send your controller into the repair center.

    You can't register the controller. You'll have to contact support and work out a replacement option with them, if available.
