    Can't register my device


    I keep trying to register my Xbox One I purchased several days ago but I keep getting a "We couldn't register this device right now. Try again in a few minutes." message. I tried this multiple times yesterday and today and keep receiving the error. I don't
    need any warranty support right now, so I guess my questions are does it matter when I register it and more importantly is there an issue with the serial number for the Xbox One I purchased or is it some site related error? Thanks.

    cannot register my device

    cannot register my device, getting error "Cannot register right now please try latter". I tried to register on page of registraing and Warranty faq of support page. Nor I can connect to chat as field to add name and emailid is disabled. What a lacky site
    and features is provided by Microsoft. Regretting bying XBOX 1 from day one. Due to microsoft support system.

    Hey guys! In the case where you may need to service a device, a home address will be required on your Xbox Live account before you are able to request a replacement.

    You may be running into this error due to not having an address on your account yet. To get started on that, please visit your
    Microsoft Account page to fill in that relevant information.

    Had same issue on a few microsoft products and my advice is get microsoft to ring you back or phone them and customer service will do it for you.

    I was able to get it registered. I eventually navigated myself to the main Microsoft device site here:
    account.microsoft.com/devices and then clicked add device after I signed in, then clicked the register Xbox link. Entered the information and it registered. However it is showing that the
    warranty will expire in March 2017, which isn't correct as I just purchased it on September 30th and you get 1 year of warranty protection from the date of purchase. Thoughts on how to get that fixed? Hope my solution works for others on getting it registered.

    Hello, here are the steps to re downloading your profile back to your original console, 1) Sign into your Xbox live gold account, 2) Provide your password on the account 3) Give it time to sign you into your account (optional) 4) Once signed in, disconnect
    from Xbox live and wait 5 minutes to reconnect. If this has not helped, please contact a Xbox live ambassador or a customer support rep, I hope I was of any help :)!

    Yes, I am still having this issue. I cannot register the Lenovo laptop to my devices. Is there a fix for this? I'd like to use an app I bought on the Microsoft Store on the Lenovo laptop, but I can't unless the device is registered under my account.
